Workshop description
Using leaves, lace, string, and a variety of stencils you will monoprint from geli plates onto canvas, for your cover, a variety of papers will be monoprinted to create your book pages: rice paper, tea dyed papers, watercolour paper & found papers.
To complete your landscape-oriented soft cover, nature journal you will gather you prints together to create a natural flow throughout your journal. Your journal will be bound using the Japanese side binding technique.
You may wish to add fabric and momigami pieces attaching using hand stitching to further personalise your journal.
This workshop runs in conjunction with the exhibition: Same but Different Poetry of the Everyday, exhibition features work by international artist Cas Holmes, and local artists Peta Lloyd and Bruce Lloyd
